One of the favourite festivals in most households is Diwali, the festival of lights and new beginnings!
Modern, in true celebratory fashion, made it a point to give it the enthusiasm it deserves. Students brought in food items assigned to their grade, which were then shared. Pav bhaji, motichoor ladoos, punjabi samosas, dhoklas, kaju katlis and many more delicacies were brought in!
On the 1st of November, we all saw a “traditional” side to teachers and students. Everyone dressed in vibrant Indian clothes and a genuine smile on their faces. It was a beautiful sight.
The lights, the music and the air of excitement made the event very lively. It was delightful to see many students go crazy over the Bollywood songs that were played. Although the school may have organized the Diwali event, the real Dhamaka was brought by the students. The enthusiasm brought by the kids was enriching and made the non-dancers also want to vibe.
The audience was very encouraging, making the dancers want to put in more effort to please the crowd. The overall experience of dancing and singing with friends and teachers after the hectic day at school was JHAKAAS.
