They say that it is not how much we give but how much love we put into giving that matters. And the love and passion for their craft is exactly what has been the driving force for the team behind ‘Mission Daance’. It is a one-of-a kind, youth organization that focuses on; ‘Daan’ (charity) and ‘Dance’.
These youngsters aim to promote dance in the UAE by providing spiriting dancers a platform to display their talent. Moreover, the money collected through these dance events by the sponsors will be donated.
On 21st April 2022, we had several dancers groove to all of our favourite songs at the Sunny Varkey Centre For Performing Arts. This event also gave us the chance to watch some of the best dancers in Dubai LIVE!
The success of the event was because we had diverse performances. From Hip-Hop to Indian classical to Bhangra and Korean Pop. We had artists like Nidhi Kumar, who has over 540K subscribers on YouTube, and her team from her own dance studio, NKD perform. There were solo performances and group dances, but our personal favourite was the performance of the Tender Hearts; a group of amazing people of determination, who put the stage on fire!
Vidhi and Preanna of IB1, the founders of Mission Dance have worked very hard to put forth this opportunity to many students to showcase their talents. They worked relentlessly conceptualizing, planning, executing, finding sponsors and much more. Our principal was overwhelmed with the success of this initiative and said that she is inclined to help it reach an international level. We are extremely proud of Vidhi and Preanna, and we hope their dream to take this philanthropic endeavor to an international level comes true!
