Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day.

2020 has been a powerful reminder that we are all in this together. Our choices and actions have the power to protect the most vulnerable among us in a big way. The same holds true when it comes to breast cancer. Many cancer patients deal with hair loss, whether due to chemotherapy or as a side effect of radiation therapy. Hair plays an important role in self-image. Many cancer patients choose to get wigs to cope with hair loss. Hence, a mix of synthetic and human hair is used to make wigs. This year, the hair donation ceremony took place in our school in January. 126 students, who had pledged and been growing their hair for six months, cut it and donated it to people who need it. One of my closest friends, Ranya had participated in this campaign and mentioned that she was very happy to donate her hair for a good cause.
