The Annual Food Festival was held on Wednesday, the 21st of September. This multicultural event with food from all around India was organized by the geography department and spearheaded by students of grade 10.
The main purpose of this event was to recognize the food crops grown and used in different regions of India and how they directly link into the different cuisines served.
We did gain knowledge and insights into these topics but what was truly heartening was to see the enormous participation. Owing to the diversity of our land, there were many stalls, sprawled across the terrace garden, serving everything from lassi to momos and filter coffee. Not only was grade 10 present, but grades 9, 8, ISC and some IB students feasted on the explosion of tastes.
The teachers came by to support their students and let their hair down for a bit. This event was truly the highlight of this week and I am sure I speak for all students when I say these memories will stay forever.
