Lend an ear to Aryan, as he gives us an insight into his journey through The World Schools Debate Championship.

Audio Interview with Aryan Kundra

The World Schools Debate Championship, more commonly known as WSDC is an extremely prestigious, and highly competitive international competition only suited for the best of the best. Founded in 1988, the two-week-long competition takes place between nearly 70 different countries across the globe. This year the UAE debate team showed an exemplary performance, ranking 16th out of 74 countries. This extremely impressive performance was carried out by a team of 5 high school students, one of them being our very own Aryan Kundra from 10I.

Aryan was an integral part of the UAE team which participated in the World Schools Debate Championships during the summer. He was the youngest member of the team which finished in the top 16 in the world. Aryan’s speaker scores were also the highest on the team.

Competing in The World Schools Debate Championship is definitely not an easy thing to pull off, the numerous practice sessions, homework assignments, and research tasks paired with school work and projects definitely challenged the debater’s time management skills.

“Even though it wasn’t easy to achieve, I would definitely do it all over again”, says Aryan.
