the sun rises and the sun sets
as we bask in its dawn
forgetting which day has come
and gone by
anticipation and eagerness
awaiting the epilogue of this wild story
courses through our blood
and thrills through our heart
of when the world resumes
on the anvils of gratitude
for those warriors standing in the hospitals
fighting the war against this pandemic
for now we have learnt
contemplating and brewing within four walls
that now things that were once what we took for granted
are the only things we wish for

I have not used capitalization or punctuation because I do not want the flow and rhythm of the poem to be interrupted by them.
