Another fortnight has gone by and The Freshman Chronicles is back with yet another enticing issue!
We have seen a lot of excitement from the students of grade 9 and 10, who have been undertaking numerous endeavours.
Students of grade 10 started a food drive on this special occasion of Ramadan, called “Modern Youth Food Drive”, wherein all students of the school are encouraged to bring the food items assigned to them, which are then given to the support staff, as a way of expressing our heartfelt gratitude to them (if you haven’t donated anything yet, please do so – bring as much as you can!). Additionally, in the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, and unperturbed by pandemic limitations, Modern wishes to bring together our community of students, parents and staff for an Iftar evening, albeit virtually.
We have successfully finished Career Week with external speakers giving students an insight into various careers and enlightening them so that they can mindfully choose which path they want in life.
The school has been buzzing with various extra-curricular activities, like the Modern Debating Society, MUN, Film Festival, Duke of Edinburgh, RIC and so much more! Modern is a school which gives students a small taste of everything so that when we step into the real world, we are not students anymore, but young adults that are ready to seize the world and achieve great heights of success.
On that note, let’s dive into this new issue with the positive thought that we can do anything!
Happy reading!
