After the long wait, a new grade, a new rollercoaster ride, a new experience had begun. I was overcome with excitement, after all, there are so many interesting things about a new grade, aren’t there?
From opening up new textbooks, getting to know who your teachers are, and anxiously hoping that your friends are in the same class as you. These small but unforgettable moments do matter. At the same time, realizing that there will be double the amount of studies, deadlines to meet, activities, and projects to complete. However, a new grade to me is a new platform, a new opportunity- to make mistakes, learn and most importantly grow as an individual and be future-ready.
Grade nine, specifically, is something. A leap from middle to senior school; suddenly all the teachers you had heard stories about making daily visits to your class; learning a new subject (for most of us); being acquainted with The Duke Of Edinburgh Award, and SUPW; realizing that board exams are next year, and the last year of Arabic! Of course, there will be added challenges this year, but this one is about maintaining a healthy balance (most of the time), and most importantly, handcrafting a memorable experience for years to come!
