The (Almost) Final Countdown

It all started on the 4th of February – a lovely Friday afternoon. I had reached home safely and was savoring my favourite food. I was in an unusually peaceful state of mind. After finishing my delicacy, I went to my room to check my phone and behold….I saw one of my WhatsApp groups flooded with messages. I immediately checked the group to see what the chaos was about. Within seconds, the peacefulness I was experiencing turned into sheer horror. I wouldn’t really say horror; I had mixed emotions- excitement, self-doubt, but also confidence, and nervousness — all at once. I am sure most of us were experiencing the same range of emotions.

Fast forward to Monday morning, 8:28 a.m. Everyone had the CISCE website open on their devices. The adrenaline rush was visible on everyone’s faces. Students were showing their restlessness in different ways – shaking their feet vigorously, tapping their fingers on the table, cracking their knuckles and breathing heavily. An anxiety-induced countdown started 10 seconds before the clock struck 8:30, at which point everyone frantically typed in their information to get their results.

Phew! It was a relief and a delight to see that a lot of students in Grade 10 had a smile on their faces upon seeing their reports. We definitely did ace these exams! Semester 2, we’re ready for you!

In the meantime, here are some highlights to feast your eyes on:
