Vidushi Arvind from 10H enjoys reading (her favourite book is “A Short History of Nearly Everything” by Bill Bryson), writing articles, dancing and sketching, but most importantly, EATING.
Misha Raval of 9H loves to play basketball and Taekwondo (which she has a blackbelt in – she’s totally not flexing!) Misha’s inspiration is Rick Riordan (yes, the Percy Jackson dude). She admires the way he makes serious moments funny and wants to be able to write like him.
Sreekripa Taj of 10C loves to draw, paint, bake and play basketball. She loves everything biology. She enjoys reading up and analyzing new developments (in a very amateur way) in the field of medicine and hopes to contribute to this field one day.
Arjun Kakkar of 10H is an avid debater and MUN participant and has won multiple awards in both fields. He enjoys watching movies and cooking in his spare time. He is also a strong creative and argumentative writer, having written articles for the Modern Parthenon Project.
Neilay Agarwal of 10D hails from Delhi. His favourite subjects are Maths and Computer Science. He loves to read books and play chess. He also likes to write and learn new words every day. Neilay’s worst habit is procrastination. Ugh!
Nyaish Cursetji of 9B is new to Modern. She loves writing but is not very consistent. However, when she does sit down to write, she goes all out. God gifted her with a flexible body and she makes “no bones about it”.
Shreya SV of 9A is from Chennai but has lived in Dubai all her life. A few of her hobbies are dancing, tennis and acting. She doesn’t have too many dislikes, but she does detest spiders! She also likes writing and is thrilled to be a member of the new editorial team. Although usually an extrovert, she does feel shy at times, so approach with caution – and definitely not with a spider!
Akshay Akhileshwaran from 10G thoroughly enjoys debating, public speaking and writing. He also loves to play football, basketball and tennis. As if that weren’t enough, he also enjoys reading and watching movies in his spare time. His favourite book series is “The Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien and his favourite movie is Justice League: Snyder Cut. A quote that he finds really relatable is: “We are all mature until somebody brings out some bubble wrap.”
