Love’s Unyielding Chains

Spread the love

There lived a maiden, fairest in the lands,

Her caring unmatched, beauty unrivalled.

The blazing sun mellowed at her commands,

The great moon bathed her with light unbounded.

There lived a knight, bravest across the lands.

His mercy unmatched, fury unrivalled.

All armies collapsed at his mighty hand,

His gentle care was for all who he led.

She was calm silver to his mighty gold,

He was blazing summer to her winter,

A match forged in heaven, rulers bold.

Yet, their love was not to be set to timber.

Without their stars aligned, ‘tis but a dream.

Dreams, of the maiden fair and the knight great.

Not even the mightiest of men

Can flee the will of Destiny and Fate.
