We used to dream of having wings that would allow us to soar high in the sky. This was inconceivable to us. As years passed, we slowly gained more knowledge, and eventually, flying this magical metal bird became our aspiration. We lacked a place to talk about and learn more about aviation, which is our greatest love.
On a chilly February morning, one enthusiastic ninth grader thought that we should launch a student-led initiative focused on aviation. We would be able to connect with other aviation enthusiasts through this forum, learn more from one another, and share our love with others.
Starting an SLI is not an easy feat, though; it took us almost two years to make this dream a reality. We experienced ups and downs, and our shared enthusiasm was the only thing that kept us connected during trying times.
Ever since we began, we have had productive conversations with both seasoned aviation experts and those just getting started. The Aviation Club has held discussions on themes ranging from the early days of aviation to the present, in addition to navigation and simulation.
Our goal is to increase the number of aviation enthusiasts and to establish a brand-new culture that values both the practical and artistic aspects of flying an aircraft.
