Here are some facts which will definitely help us all study better and retain more information, to perform our best in our exams and carry out our tasks with the maximum capability we have.

1. Losing one night’s sleep can impair and disturb your reasoning and memory skills for 4 days!

2. Foreign languages help your brain grow! It is proven that foreign language students show growth in their brain within 3 months.

3. Physical activities improve concentration and memorization abilities. Exercising helps in growing new neurons which helps us retain new information.

4. Sleep expert Dan Taylor warns that if we get up extra early it can interrupt our REM sleep which is crucial for solid memory.

5. Check yourself before you wreck yourself! Testing what you learnt is one of the best ways to train your brain to recall information. A study showed that students who studied the material and then did a practice test scored better than students who studied the information twice.

6. Take a break! Research shows that taking a 5 to 10-minute break in between studies gives your brain a break and helps in recalling better. 

7. Use it or lose it: Your brain has endless possibilities. It is always changing and developing. Small things like brain games, developing a new hobby, learning a new language, and learning an instrument will keep your brain young and sharp.
