Raghav Gulati – 9I

I am Raghav Gulati studying in grade 9I. I began playing golf at the age of 5. It was intriguing to watch how far such a thin iron club could hit such a small thing as a golf ball. I enjoy playing golf because it is a calm and serene sport. Additionally, I like playing golf because of its tranquil area filled with nature. Furthermore, playing the sport for so long has made it become a part of my daily routine. I have won several tournaments, some under the men’s category and some under the juniors. Several of these tournaments held at Dubai Creek Golf Club include The Men’s Back, The Black Tournament and The Junior Club Championship. Making a living in any sport is challenging and requires a lot of grit. The only way I may have a chance to make a living out of golf is if I choose to play College Division 1 Golf, but to know what the future holds for you, at such a young age, is beyond our imagination.

Natasha Luktuke – 9I and Samiksha Ganesan – 9C

Quite recently, my friend Samiksha Ganesan and I, Natasha Luktuke, started a podcast called ‘Things You Should Care About’ or TYSCA for short. As the name suggests, this podcast focuses on critical social issues that we believe should be discussed more. We decided to launch this project in order to raise awareness about these important issues that continue to exist on a global scale. We have addressed a range of themes so far, including mental health, social media, sustainability and women empowerment, and have recently concluded our first season. We undoubtedly had our fair share of obstacles, but we are extremely appreciative of our whole team and the teachers for supporting us in pursuing our goal. Our episodes are available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcast and Google Podcasts. You may also follow us on Instagram at @tysca_gma. We wish to hear from you and encourage you to share your views and ideas on the issues mentioned!
