How am I supposed to be ready for my future when I can’t even get out of my bed in the morning?

I bet you all can relate. This week, the 9th and 10th graders had their seniors from IB1 along with some special guests speak to them about their future. They mentioned the skillset each profession requires. The students of IB1 hosted this session to help us, and we are indebted to them for aiding in giving us this knowledge that certainly makes the future seem less complicated.
The special guests were Ms. Mansi Lalwani, a UAE-based lawyer, Mr. Shailesh Mor, who discussed logistics and shipping with us, and Ms. Navneet Saraiya, a UK-based doctor. We also performed a SWOT Analysis (which stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) after each of the guests had spoken, which helped us analyze our potential in each of the professions. A SWOT analysis furnishes students with a clear view of one’s strengths, allowing them to build on their skillset and realize which profession is best suited to their skills. It also highlights weaknesses and provides analysts a chance to reverse them and act upon the possible threats too. It shows possibilities for future careers, in this case.
The speakers explained their respective professions and how important they each are to the real world nowadays. They spoke about the subjects that one should take in order to pursue that career. They also spoke about how the job affects the mental health of a person and the threats in the job. The very last thing they spoke about is the determination needed to become what we need to be. As you can tell, that makes the future look a lot less scary.
Well, we have a family here at Modern, and they do their best to make sure the transition into the future is easy.
