COVID-19 has changed the way we look at the world, bringing in hardships to all and sundry. This is how
we can spread joy:
Call your grandparents in India every day to check on them. A regular call will make them look
forward for the next day and will help dissipate loneliness.
Send all your guardians and helpers (the daily-wage earners who are deeply affected by the
current scenario) a hamper of essential food items regularly.
With no house help, the entire burden is now on our Parents. Take responsibility and help your
parents with household chores.
Most of us are ordering food, groceries, medicines online and having it delivered to our homes.
Tip the delivery personnel generously and thank them for their efforts.
If you have spare devices like laptops or iPads, lend them to families in need especially during
the onslaught of online classes.
Offer weekly online mentoring sessions to younger students needing extra support.
Continue to celebrate your friend’s birthday, albeit virtually.
Check on family friends/relatives working in the healthcare sector.
Share positive stories and pictures on social media to spread joy.
Share photos of nature like birds & flowers in our backyard, sunsets, sunrises on your social
platforms to add positivity to the negative environment
